Elder Roger Wilkins was born October 12, 1956 in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the son of the late Johnnie Y. Wilkins and Elizabeth M. Smith.

Elder Roger Wilkins graduated from James Hillhouse High School in 1976. He attended the University of Connecticut where he major in Labral Arts and Sciences/Music. He received an Associate Degree in Accounting from the Academy for Business and Careers. Elder Wilkins retired a twenty year career as a Connecticut Department of Correction Officer in 2008. He then began a full time pastorate for the ministry he founded.

Elder Wilkins accepted Christ as his personal Savior in 1969 at the age of 13. He served in many capacities in ministry from minster of music, Sunday school and WPWW teacher on the local, jurisdictional, and national level. He served as Church Administrator and Jurisdiction Secretary.

Elder Wilkins acknowledged his call to ministry in 1979 and was licensed. Elder Wilkins was ordained an Elder by Bishop C.H. Brewer Jr. on July of 1981.

On October 5, 1997 Elder Wilkins begins the Maranatha Ministries COGIC Inc. from his home. The church grew and in 2013 the name was changed to Maranatha Life Changing Ministries.

Elder Wilkins has held many positions. They consist of: Church Administrator, many positions at the local church level, Jurisdictional Musical Director, Jurisdictional Secretary, Administrative Assistant to Bishop HD Bordeaux, Jurisdictional AIM Chairman, and National Adjutant.

Elder Roger Wilkins was married to the late Wanda Lee Moore for thirty years before her sudden passing in 2010. From this union two beautiful daughters were born; Erica and Ashley Wilkins.

By God’s grace Elder Wilkins continues to work the work of Him who has called him.
